Insulating North greenbush from the troubles of Washington.

No matter which side of the aisle you’re on, I think it’s fair to agree that our government can sometimes be dysfunctional. With that said, this year alone has brought more chaos than ever before. Without clear and bipartisan leadership in Washington DC, our federal government has left us wondering, “how can we uphold a standard of living that is both fair and equitable to all while pursuing the American Dream?”

This is why no matter how many agencies, staff, or programs get cut by the federal government, it is my commitment the people of North Greenbush that we find ways to support each other through these times. We face ever-growing cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Education, environmental programs, and so many more they are too numerous to name. While most folks see this is a huge problem, I see it as an opportunity to show not only New York State but the entire country that we can still thrive.

I will relentlessly pursue every grant, award, and source of funding necessary to see that our residents don’t become burdened by rising costs or deleted services; it is not fair to a community that has worked so hard to get here and paid their dues to see Democracy fail them. I will create a Community Action Committee to work on creative new ways to get this done. Things like this may include expanding our library, services for the elderly, and a one-of-a-kind community child care program.
